REASONABLE

The Row sisters know exactly who they are designing to. By avoiding trends, they are consequently showing a non interest for a young customer. Their understand luxury based on precious materials, like cashmere, ostrich leather, silk and cotton, is suitable for a sophisticated woman, that has a refined taste, loves good quality and who reached the conclusion, that is non-sense to revolutionize every season the whole wardrobe, but that reasonably and with patient build a wardrobe, that will reflect 100% of her style; no matter what.
Focused on that, the twins offer a resort collection full of great luxury-basics exemplars; loose fit dresses, loads of great coats, like a pink duster or a shearling one with the hood, knee-length trenches or almost floor-length wrap coats. There were also shiny satin pantsuits and military inspired jackets featuring big pockets in contrast shades. The accessories, like criss-cross slippers and big clutches show the calmness and earthy atmosphere of the collection as well as the selection of the colours; ivory, caramel, tobacco, beige, black, cream and emerald green.

JUUN.J S/S 2014 AD CAMPAIGN

Model : VALERIJA KELAVA/ JESTER WHITE
Hair : SHON
Make-up : SALLY BRANKA

Androgynous was Juun,J´s S/S2014 menswear collection, androgynous is also the ad campaign. The brand is continuing the idea to add a woman figure to the campaign; this time was Valerija Kelava´s turn. Love the simplicity of b&w photos; the idea of leaving clothes to express themselves.

Not a big styling moment here (actually you can not even see most of the garments here)...but it´s something else -  a fine arty-humour-istic-made editorial in my favorite b&w version with one and only Valerija.

ENTIRE ESTEBAN CORTAZAR FOR NET-A-PORTER SECOND COLLECTION

Launching tomorrow (July 17) on Net-a-Porter, the collection consists of 23 pieces including dresses, skirts, tops, jackets, jewellery and shoes in a color palette of charcoal, black and grey.

Esteban Cortazar says: “The idea from the beginning was for the collection to be trans-seasonal and
work throughout the year, in different countries and climates globally, and for every piece to be versatile and translate easily from day to night. There are lots of sporty separates that are great for layering which can be transformed into different looks by removing some of the layers, changing the accessories, shoes or adding some of my jewelry to give everything a tougher or more sophisticated edge. This collection is very much an evolution from the first, and explores the dichotomy between the sensual gestures of the female form and lines and angles that frame the body. The use of razor blade cuts creates a subtle motion, evoking the elegant and graceful movements of a manta ray and the tranquillity and strength of Tadao Ando spaces which inspired this collection. It’s a reaction towards the madness and noise around us.”

As with his debut collection last year, Cortazar worked closely with Net-a-Porter’s Fashion Director, Holli Rogers, who offered the talented designer mentoring from a retail standpoint.

Here you have an exclusive view of the whole collection that will be available tomorrow online on Net-a-Porter. Click on "Read more" to see the whole collection.
