I believe that those days of exploiting your skin to the sun for the sake of getting that bronze god-des look that you can only see on retouched ads and are far from reality in, yes, reality, are gone. I also believe that we all know by now that the sun, even rational sunbathing (during those low UV hours), is ok when we have protection with a good broad-spectrum sunscreen (UVA and UVB, as Caroline Hirons would say A for ageing, B for burning) 50 or more. Last but not least, we also know that we should apply the SPF  all year round, including on rainy days. The optimal amount for the face is two fingers (neck included) or a tablespoon for each body part.
