THE GENTLEWOMAN #13

13 as my lucky number (beside the number 3) and 13 as the new-est issue of (yeah, I know that you know it already) one of my favourite magazines ever! The Gentlewoman. The colour looks so vibrant, not just because of the bold yellow, but I quite actually like Kristen Dunst photographed by (here we go again, lol) my one and only Alasdair McLellan. It´s so spring-calling cover. Love it! What this issue offers to us? Well, frankly, I didn´t have a chance (actually it´s more a time-matter thing) to buy a copy, which is on newsstands from 19th February (so lazy me and shame on me! Need to hurry to catch one copy!). The magazine´s official website released this statement about the latest issue:

DOCUMENT F/W 2015/2016

One issue, twelve covers shot by Willy Vanderperre, Harley Weir, Alasdair McLellan, Wolfang Tillmans; Jamie Hawkesworth, and Craig McDean. Pick your favourite-one!

UNIQLO AND LEMAIRE FIRST LOOK

These are the first images of the fashion collaboration that we all are waiting for. The images, photographed by Alasdair McLellan, are the first "taste" of what we tomorrow can fully get, when in Paris the whole collection will be unveiled. Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran described the collaboration with these words: "Our philosophy is close to Uniqlo's. Uniqlo designs quality garments for everyday life. It's is not trend-driven. Everything is about the product and technological innovations. Their philosophy is strong and modern. We believe that Lemaire's journey beyond the frontlines of fashion to focus on the wearer is completely in keeping with the LifeWear concept's commitment to comfort, quality and style aimed at making life better. Every item combines elegance with moderate relaxation and comfort, for modern, advanced wardrobe mainstays." They´ve also revealed few details about the whole concept of the collection: "They’re comfortable clothes, warm, very comfy, but chic enough to go out in. Basic is an overused term in fashion, but at the end of the day, it’s quite true, quite right. Pieces that you need, pieces that you want—that’s what we tried to do."

The Björk by Alasdair McLellan collaboration bring us The Gentlewoman # 11 and first time ever a full-color cover. A really great way to evoke Spring with all its shades. The issue doesn´t feature only Björk; they offer us: " The multi-tasking creative force Miranda July; Scottish motor-racing dynamo Susie Wolff; renegade artist Andrea Zittel; the industrious British aristocrat Raine, Countess Spencer; Hollywood film director Ava DuVernay; Watford’s favourite daughters, The Staves and acting-CEO of the Clinton Foundation, Maura Pally. Fashion alchemist Hannah MacGibbon leads us on a stylish stroll through north London, while jazzy seasonal fashions are admirably demonstrated by Gisele Bündchen, Freja Beha Erichsen and Iselin Steiro. The array of sunny doings and modern musings is completed by way of a specially-commissioned portfolio by the wondrous artist Ella Kruglyanskaya."

We are ready! Get your copy here.

AMANDA

Magazine: AnOther Magazine #25 (F/W 2013/2014)
Photographer: Alasdair McLellan
Stylist: Olivier Rizzo
Hair: Luke Hersheson
Make-up: Lucia Pica
Manicure: Typhaine KersualModel: Amanda Murphy

A never ending trend..an ever green zone here...military. In shapes or/and colors, here with some man-ish vibe/side and a never forgotten woman part, such as glittery details and Dior Couture dress. Anticipation on what the S/S 2014 will bbring as a big trend, mixing man and woman shapes and details, a yin and yang. Two different poles combined together.
One thing that I really adore is a woman’s face with (nearly) no make-up on or a not so obvious one, as also shown here. Bravo (again) Mr. Rizzo!
