RELAXED RIGOR

Can you imagine contrasts like the Buddhist monks` "uniform" and the military clothing to join together in a new, harmonious unity? Take a look at this menswear collection by Lucio Vanotti, where the relaxing-side goes handy by hand with the rigorous one, if you are not convinced.  The result is an almost raw-purity defined by the ankle-length roomy coat or the she same length, double breasted bathrobe-like one clinched at the waist by a leather belt, oversize varsity wool jacket, while the other are lean and long, some of them sleeveless worn over narrow trousers, shorts or wide-leg ones. 

EFFORTLESS AND ELEGANT

Lucio Vanotti is not only a perfect address for anyone who loves minimalism, but also for everyone, as me who loves essentialism, in terms of wearability, comfort and good fabrics. Yes, yes, those garments that has a long-lasting dna. So it consequently more than obvious that he is also one of my favourite designers, even my wardrobe welcomes very well every piece when it comes.

His elegant and effortless aesthetic was for this winter half-inspired by uniforms, seen in garments like rigorous coats, most of them belted. He is one of the designers who likes to make a woman´s version of (his) man garment, like a typical pinstripe shirt turned into a dress with an oval neck and extra-long sleeves or even a classical double breasted blazer, made in two versions, oversize and a bit prolonged or boxy and super-short. There are capes, tunics and lux-pyjamas made of fluid jersey, silk and satin, giving to the collection a sensual note, while the black and white pieces made by geometric graphic patterns almost evoke a tribal appeal.  The brand is holy grail for independent, sophisticated and modern women who are fan of a discreet luxury.
