While other brands delivered far long before their summer 2016 ad campaigns, finding them in all magazines from January issues on, has Calvin Klein (finally) released a first "taste" of its summer campaign. Is it tactic or just a delay-thing? The effect of it, normally in terms of numbers, will tell. The (possibly) total black and white campaign, an ode to the 90´s, was photographed by James Hawkesworth, styled by Benjamin Bruno and features Sophie Rask, Frida Westerlund and Laura Sørensen

HELLO STAN SMITH!

A big welcome back to Adidas "Stan Smith" sneakers; a tribute sneakers for the 1970s tennis star's name, Stanley Roger Smith, has appeared on the best-selling sports shoe of all time since 1971. They sold a not inconsiderable 40 million pairs over the years and, on 15 January, after two years on the sidelines Smith’s shoes are stepped back into the public attention. And the success continues, because they are mostly (99%) everywhere sold out.

Here you have a link of the site where they are still (hurry, not for long) available. Beside Stan Smith, my collage is all about layering and sport vibe. A white turtle neck under a black shirt (with a top button opened) and covered with a nice, classic, but with a modern edge (no collar) coat. The volume comes with wider, but still elegant trousers. To calm everything down, Stan´s of course ;)

MDG

Photos below and on the left were taken by Steven Klein in New York City for the new MDG campaign.

MDG is a special collection of sun glasses for ladies designed by Madonna with Dolce & Gabbana, which will be out very soon and will continue until Feb 2011.

Dolce & Gabbana Men's Fall RTW 2010 / MFW Day-01

With scenes from the Italian film “Baarìa” projected as a backdrop, Dolce & Gabbana’s fashion vision leapt from the screen on to the runway. “The collection is a return to our roots: Sicilian heritage, sensuality and sartorial clothing,” said Stefano Gabbana, who with Domenico Dolce marks a 20th anniversary in men’s wear in 2010.

Glowering models entered in packs from stage left to a melancholic Ennio Morricone soundtrack, echoing scenes from the film – and chapters of the Dolce & Gabbana fashion legacy. For the first act, knitwear was the protagonist, worn chunky or thin - some to the point of threadbare – and paired with thermal, jodhpur-like long underwear, a nod to Palermo in the Twenties.

Then came relaxed tailored looks in lush velvet or washed flannels with frayed lapels, evoking a hand-me-down chic. Meanwhile, paint-splattered denim, stonewashed leather jackets and beaten-up shoes were fit for men of work and men of leisure.

The dénouement, a parade of 90 models who lumbered down the runway in knitted tank tops and tattered trousers, mesmerized the audience. But it was the rugged, yet elegant wardrobe for fall that really stole the show.
