QUEER

 

 

The film is Luca Guadagnino’s adaptation of William S. Burroughs’s semi-autobiographical novel of the same title, which serves as a sort of sequel to his groundbreaking 1953 work, Junkie. Although written in the early 1950s, Queer wasn’t published until 1985, when it swiftly became a classic within both the Beat and LGBTQ literature genres.

Surrounded by or more suitable to say furnished with timeless pieces like Enzo Mri´s chairs for Hermès, Florence Knoll sofa, La Manufacture Cogolin rug, John Gould prints and 19th-century church candlesticks transformed into floor lamps, this is how it looks the dining room of film director Luca Guadagnino, placed in an apartment inside the 17th-century palazzo (outside Milan).
