DEAR SANTA: A NICE COAT

Last, the 7th wish before the Christmas Eve ...a coat! I am big fan of outwear, during winter mostly by coats; long, short, thinner or heavier, cotton or wool-ish, tailored or oversized... any kind. Love them monochromatic and with clean lines (as almost everything). If I must to pick just one to wish for...the coat must be soft, but still warm, so a must is a great material (almost 80% of wool + some cashmere or mohair), preferable shorter, just for practical issues (in public transport to sit easily and not on a coat for example...) and a bit of oversize shape (especially the shoulder part). The one to be useful in different occasions, from day to night.  A nice example is a coat by Jasmin Shokrian Draft no. 17.

DEAR SANTA: RODIN OLIO LUSSO

Well, why not? I would say a super yes to this! It´s a best alternative of the (boring) perfume (the perfume it´s very personal, too personal...it´s your "smell dna", so I think that everyone should buy it by your own)
For those who doesn´t know what I am talking about, here´s the background story: New York-based stylist Linda Rodin has drawn on her extensive experience in the fashion and beauty industry to create six luxury products for the face, body and hair under the name Rodin Olio Lusso (Italian for “luxury oil”). A signature fusion of scented oils including Jasmine, Sweet Almonds and Jojoba form a unique and covetable collection that will deliver a natural, healthy glow after every application.

DEAR SANTA: BLACK LEATHER BAG

Out there are many type of bags, but in the last period I prefer the ones that lasts, who´s design is clean and timeless, who´s quality is on high level...so a bag that will be my company not just for one season, but the one usable 365 days x year and in most occasions, looks. I guess I am becoming more tactful and clever while shopping (it was time ;) ).

This all and much more I found in Mansur Gavriel´s Bucket bag. There are few versions, but I am totally in Love with this one....with a coated red interior named "Fiamma" (flame). When you say Love at first sight, this is the one...that will last.

DEAR SANTA: A CASHMERE SWEATER

Cashmere is a soft, non-itchy type of wool that originated in the Kashmir region of India from the cashmere goat. Even though we are talking about a soft material in the same time it´s also strong and non bulky. Cashmere sweaters are about ten times warmer than normal, with the same thickness, wool sweaters.
To fight really cold days it´s a perfect choice to pick the roll neck cashmere sweater, to warm your neck too. And the one by Joseph is more than a clever buy; I would say a good investment in time.

DEAR SANTA: WHITE LEATHER SNEAKERS

Simple leather white sneakers...that goes with almost everything and will be veeeery usefull for S/S 2014, because most of the collection are white and the 90´s inspired. The sneakers that I felt in love from the first time I saw them are this one shown here from Eytys, a product manifestation of our generation: born in the boom years of the 80s, grew up with the street culture of the 90s.
Where´s my skateboard?

The same model is available in canvas, suede and leather.

DEAR SANTA: A LEATHER JACKET

As I mentioned in the yesterday’s post, this year’s Christmas wish list is all about must-have, timeless (I could also add basic) pieces. And what is more a must have than a leather jacket. We all have almost one in our closet, but "the one" is made with soft and quality leather and has a classic biker-ish appeal. Leaving the season trend, like extra stitches or quilted details, "the one" is super-clean and only ornaments are a diagonal zipper, two zippered side pockets and buttons, all in metal of course. A great example is the one from Acne Studios, Rita leather jacket. So far my favorite one.

DEAR SANTA

We are really close...exactly seven days, a week to the pre-Christmas eve...and I didn´t forgot to make a "my Christmas whish list" (ok, a letter to Santa), but I will post it in a different way. In the next seven days, each day one present that I would Love to receive, have or just dream about it. And this year I am into essential, timeless pieces and no seasonal trends; we may call it long term investments.
At the end we all know that "the get" point is not important as it is to spend a lovely evening and the day with family, but we all Love gifts, don´t we? :)
