Pelo Malo (Bad Hair), the winner of numerous
international awards (including the prestigious Golden Shell at the San
Sebastián Film Festival), is a story about a spirited boy in the Venezuelan
housing projects. Mariana Rondón's film focuses on Junior (Samuel Lange), a
nine-year-old boy growing up with his recently widowed mother, Marta (Samantha
Castillo), and his baby brother.
