STYLE INSTEAD OF TREND

Bibliothèque Nationale de France on Wednesday at 10 am (some minutes later to be precise) really started the S/S 2015 Paris fashion week for me; in an elegant and quite way as only Christophe Lemaire can brings. Different cottons, like poplin, linen, twill and chambray, mark his summer collection. Gorgeous pieces in mostly monochrome-layering looks; for example a total blue look composed by an oversized trench coat with a shirt, over-shirt jacket and skirt underneath. Or a shirt dress with a matching below the ankle skirt. There were also white crisp blouses made as an asymmetrical cape, a black apron dress with a slanted hem, trench blouses elegantly folded in ankle-cropped comfortable pants that reminded jeans and a sleeveless wrap tunic with a trench-like belt around the waist; everything in a typical Lemaire neutral colour palette, with one total red look as exception.   His woman is from collection to collection more and more “free spirit”, but without being loud. She choose the quality, great cuts and don´t like to be a victim of seasonal trends. Instead of that, she prefers to have her own and personal style, which should be the point of fashion.
