ACNE STUDIOS F/W 2014/2015

Jonny Johansson really must love very much his new beach house outside Stockholm, if this is already the third time* that his collection for Acne Studios got inspired by. After men´s F/W 2014/2015 collection and women´s pre-fall 2014 collection, it was a turn of women´s F/W 2014/2015 - The Sixties and early Seventies vibes of the collection with a swirl print, reminding sea waves, present through the whole show; sometimes combined with elements, like the zebra-printed anorak coat, that normally wouldn´t work good, but resulted to work more than perfectly. Other times combined with sleek, nearly sporty-minimal garments, like a boxy jacket or sweatshirt, to calm it down a little. Garments referenced to the coast and sea-life, were also one-armed ribbed knit top and dress, wrapped around the body like a beach towel or slouchy, below the knee, surfer-like shorts.  While re-modernized vintage was a soul of the whole collection, there were elements like metallic disc earnings or their large versions worn as neckpieces, to give a futuristic touch.

* The S/S 2014 women´s collection was also all about the Swedish coast; well more from the poetic side. For that collection he was inspired by Swedish poem “Till Havs”.
