From when we left J.W. Anderson , since his
last show, the amount of money available x collection (it would be more elegant
to say “the fortune”) significantly increased. All changes happened due that in
September the luxury conglomerate LVMH invested in his line and also named him
creative director for a Spanish label Loewe. But the money didn´t change his
design DNA at all. He continues his architectural exploration, this time in a
bit softest way. Was the full presence
of the knitwear in the collection the main reason? Or were granny-ish inspired
frilled leather blouses and floral jacquards? Probably. But hey, the old/new Anderson was also
present. In pieces like cropped, tailored trousers, oversized , ribbed turtle
neck, neo oxford shirts, puffy sleeve sweaters or tabard-inspired tunics. Lot´s
o models have almost a bag, if not also a bangle (or more of them), a brooch
and glasses. Definitely none of them missed super high (for men I mean, but I
like challenges) oxford shoes on their feet.
