STREET COUTURE

If I must compare (and I do not like doing it), just to give you a picture, I would say that Moon Young Hee´s S/S 2014 has a sporty side of Yang Li and the playful-couturish side of Comme des Garçons but I am not saying that anyone is copying someone. To be sincere, Ms. Hee is known for her heavy layering, lots of drama in the volumes way before; this is her trademark. This time she made a collection that we could interpreted like this: “How a couture gown would fit/look on a street…as a streestyle?”. For my opinion p e r f e c t l y! And it´s not because of the sneakers, they only make the whole thing more down to earth. I simply adored unfinished seemed trimmings, voluminous-draped silk and muslin that embraced the body and the color palette, where only austere colors were allowed, like her usual contrast of black and white, proceeded with some adds of mint green and cobalt blue.

Deconstruction, asymmetrical and clean look is what the whole S/S 2014 will be. We already know that. What we (maybe) missed out is that this global trend already predicted Ms. Hee last year.
