Yoshiyuki Miyamae was inspired by the light
in all of his phases, like the contrast of light and shadows for Issey Miyake S/S 2014 collection, showed with colors
of white, black and gray. He evokes the “stars in sky during the night” and the "sun ray" thing
with tiny holes punched in the leather on series of jackets, skirts and coats
at the beginning of the collection. He did a lot of monochromatic outfits and
some color blocked evoking different part of the day (total white as a sunny
day, black as night, black-white as a rising or falling sun). Beside the
lightness of most materials, the summer part in terms of colors came with the variation
of the color spectrum, the one that the light make when filtering through a prism.
