HIDDEN MASTER

From visionary art director Sam Shahid, Hidden Master features a stunning collection of photography from the 1930s-50s, uncovering the life of George Platt Lynes, less known: his gifted eye for the male form, his long-term friendships with Gertrude Stein and Alfred Kinsey, and his lasting influence as one of the first openly gay American artists, before Robert Mapplethorpe and Peter Hujar, elevating the male nude to high art.

WOORKBOOKS 1984-2024

This extensive book, published by Loose Joints, brings together a significant collection of excerpts from workbooks that British artist Nigel Shafran has compiled over the past 40 years, from 1984 to 2024. It includes prints, contact sheets, Polaroids, found material, sketches, and handwritten notes, combining observations to create a visual autobiography.

The book motivates readers to endeavour to make the significance of four decades of experience, which Shafran achieves through the workbooks.

CELEBRATIVE

Today, Madonna will perform on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach, marking the biggest show of her 40-year career and will also serve as the conclusion of her "Celebration Tour," which has already seen more than 80 sold-out shows across Europe, the United States, and Mexico. Madonna aims to produce the "world's biggest dance floor", with an expected attendance of up to 1.5 million people. To honour her, I am sharing an image of her from 1979, taken by her then-boyfriend, Dan Gilroy.

M´S 1983

When all may sent to Madonna birthday wishes yesterday 16 August on her actual birth-date, we´ve decided to do a sort of post-birthday wishes card with three from total 66 photos, originally polaroids, that Richard Corman shot back in 1983...the time when M was still almost anonymous, with the career in early stages. What happened later we all know. Long-live M!
