Days of super-glam, celebrity/supermodel-star are over for Balenciaga. Demna Gvasalia continues with the "rochade" at the French lux-house, where his androgynous, never matchy-matchy meets street-wear aesthetic is a good juxtaposition between glamorous and reality. Talking about street, in his first Balenciaga ad-campaign, shot by Brooklyn-based photographer, Mark Borthwick, styled by Lotta Volka (hair by Garry Hill and make-up by Inge Grognard), Gvasalia literally put models on streets, to resemble life´s everyday moments. Like going to do groceries, wearing super-expensive clothes and carrying a shop-inspired leather bag.
