URBAN SOLDIER

I have mix-feelings about this winter-soldier at Jil Sander. I am a big fan of volumes and Rodolfo Paglialunga offered quite a lot here; from leather-outwear, pants, even the leather ones to those delicious chunky-knits and less-a-fan, but still interesting ski-like nylon pants. The collection was quite cool with sharp cuts and mostly made of clean lines. So where´s the bad side? There were too many black wool pieces with those cross-body belts; too repetitive and with a questionable usability. Beside the fact that there was some tobacco and steel grey, the black part was for my taste a bit too much, making everything too heavy and a big black-fan is saying this. What I really love from this collection are the leather pieces, like long-sleeve or sleeveless tunic tops with snap fastening or zippers, those quite voluminous grey pants and two final outwear pieces, a boxy leather jacket and a double-breasted coat.
