SACAI´S FIRST JEWELLERY COLLECTION

A 16 year old brand, founded by Chitose Abe after a decade at Comme des Garçons, cannot be happier with its new venture, especially when the not ordinary, but literally something-extraordinary design of Sacai can be with the help of Danish jeweller Sophie Bille Brahe translated into a jewellery world. The two met for the first time casually in London last year during Dover Streez Market´s 10th birthday celebration. The fact that Abe became quite fast a big fan of Brahe´s sculptural work and also owner of few pieces made by her, made almost a natural follow-step to do a capsule collection of fine jewellery together. The 10-piece earring collection, crafted from 14- and 18-karat yellow gold, pearls and diamond, debuted under the name "sacaisophiebillebrahe" on Sacai S/S 2016 Paris fashion week runway. Build from Brahe´s Elipse spear and Croissant moon designs, the pieces are characterized by round stones and curved lines, with diamonds rows ascending up the ear and those gold fringes hanging toward shoulders.

The collection was launched yesterday at Dover Street Market and will be “up for grabs” at various retailers, like Net-a-Porter, Barneys, Archives in Toronto and Maxfield in LA.
