PLAYFUL TAYLORING

For Ports 1961 resort 2016 collection, her third, Natasa Cagalj continues with clean silhouettes made of masculine tailoring, this time softened by details like big fringed pockets, fringed collars, pompons and frills. There are also scribbles of colours, like a child-art, on a shirt and atunic-vest that could also be a painter’s smock, while the dark blue sleeveless top with a white hem, a gold-yellow sleeveless tunic-dress, a Breton-striped top and all light-blue pieces, reminded me the sea and the early summer time.  Great cuts, simple silhouettes, interesting details and an artistic vibe, all “packed” in an organic core.  Dear Spring, we are ready!
