The Italian office-oriented furniture company Arper opened this month its first showroom space in the US. “North America is becoming increasingly important for our company as we continue to develop our operations here. We want the New York City space to not only show our furniture, but to also serve as a place for Arper to collaborate with designers surrounded by comfort and beauty”, said Claudio Feltrin, Owner and CEO.

The showroom is expanded on over 4,000 sq ft. and is situated on the second of the building dating 1904 in Soho. New York-based architect Solveig Fernlund was responsible for the interior design and architecture of the space. “The concept for the showroom design was to articulate the original architecture of the space as much as possible. Columns, flooring, plaster walls and ceilings were restored and the space was opened up to create a showroom / gallery that feels both expansive and intimate”, said about Solveig Fernlund.

Long-time collaborator of Arper, Barcelona-based Lievore Altherr Molina, involved in the design of most of the product collections, was the creative director in charge of the furniture display. The showroom showcase Arper products, including sofas, tables and chairs*
