ESSENTIAL

Christopher Lemaire and his partner and muse, Sarah-Linh Tran made it again – another flawless collection. Clean and precise cuts with a great flavour of the Far East and the 80´s New Wave. Where the sportswear meets the workwear. Crisp materials, like cotton twill and linen, mixed with more fluid ones like silk and jersey. Place des Vosges in Paris saw 27 looks of a minimalist utilitarian aesthetic in neutral colours* and composed with pieces like collarless coats, short or long sleeved patterned suits worn over a matchy shirt, over-shirt jackets, soft cut parkas, workwear –
inspired jackets and high, zip-up canvas sneakers. The trousers, inspired by Northern Soul fans, were longer as usual, wide and high-waisted, to give a little feminine touch, but at the same time very sporty and dynamic.
Who is a trend follower, maybe Lemaire appears too classi-c, which as at the end the brand is; bringing timeless, durable and comfortable pieces in menswear´s wardrobe (and not only).
