S AS SURFERS AND SERENITY

Mary-Kate and Ashley continue with their oversized silhouettes, made from luxury fabric and fine artisanal touches; this time inspired by the Californian surfers in the 60´s and the 70´s. Can you imagine or connect that period with The Row aesthetic?  Maybe. Kind difficult. It´s not at all a literal re-interpretation, as many fashion houses did, but they used referential materials, such as linen, seen in long skirts and coat, and a neoprene lining or details, like ergonomic stitching and functional zips. There is also a typical color palette taken from that time; beige, ecru, forest green, rust, ivory, cream and pale lilac. Love the accessories part too; pony-skin or knitted slippers, metallic leather clutches and leather or velvet saddlebags. Silent, peaceful, as the true beauty should be.
