TEMPORARY REALITY

The Brazilian born and London based designer was till this S/S 2015 collection known for his alternative, but very sophisticated take on knitwear. This time he preferred to work with silk and leather, without losing the sophisticated effect on dresses and tops. He played with an imaginary line that was visible in reality with a contrast of leather and silk; the first one side solid and almost fixed and the other one seemed to be disappearing in a minute, due its airy-light effect. Toga like t-shirts, notched knits, leather sleeveless coat…outfits in a vivid palette on one side, like acid yellow, orange and teal, to end the collection with more still and dark colours, like dark blue and black. The last four outfits included parts of dresses and a skirt with pencil and chalk drawings made in collaboration with the artist Nina Fowler. Working out of your comfort zone re-pays you in many ways, especially in the creative growth and not remaining stiff at the same point; and Lucas with this collection proved that.
