SIMPLE AND CHIC

Inspired by Nicholas Alan Cope´s Whitewash, a book of black and white photographs of modern L.A. architecture, Chadwick Bell´s woman for S/S 2015 is simple, but still chic and guess what, in black and white too. The architecture inspiration was seen in shapes like the silk wrap pillar-like dress or wool-crepe skirts, paired also with raw-hemmed leather vests. He played with layering with every single look; like pencil skirts over trousers or a sleeveless vest over the wrap-dress or an oversize sweater over a flared skirt. His mostly neutral, black and white colour palette was time by time interrupted by pop of colours; pink of the silk plissé gown, navy blue for a sleeveless vest and cognac for a leather bolero and wrap-like belt.
