AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR IN A PS-WAY

Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough did their version of American sportswear for the S/S 2015 collection. What does it mean? From what Proenza Schouler as a brand is known and by what we saw, the answer is simple: classic American sportswear pieces, like a polo, parka and wind breaker made in their layering of textures effect by mixing silk, viscose crochet, leather and metal.  All reassembled in a more fall-like palette as dark (emerald-like) green, black, white, mustard and bright cognac. The quite over-use of the snake skin didn´t help us to mind that we were attending the summer and not the fall collection; but I think this was the only “faux pas” (if there must be any) , because the woven silk dresses in the intrecciato-way at the end of the show were just to die for.
