Lanvin S/S 2015 was all about tailoring and
sportswear. How original combo these days, don´t you think? But let´s be frank
on this; it brings freshness and new volumes in the menswear wardrobe, without losing
the classy side. Alber Elbaz and his
menswear “partner-in-crime” Lucas Ossendrijver are lately doing that
constantly. Especially after adding couture-like materials to Lanvn´s man line.
Day to night looks, that includes the prolonged drape jackets, loose trousers
(yes guys, mind this in particular for the S/S 2015; it was present like
anywhere), outwears like spongy parkas and trench coats, want-to-have blousons,
paired with tailored pants. Elbaz goal is to bring something between fantasy
and reality, without being mediocre. A pure luxury for everyday and not only reserved
for special occasion. Probably with the “you only live once” in mind.
