HOW SHOULD BRITS GO TO THE BEACH

Till now we got one collection inspired by a carpet designer and another one inspired by a travel writer. Patrick Grant was for E.Tautz S/S 2015 menswear collection inspired by the Fifties photography of the British photographer Tony Ray-Jones (precisely by his book “A Day Off”), that shows Englishmen in their leisure. The seaside and the introversion of British were the main base to build the collection; and what a collection! His best one so far. Boxy and relaxing silhouettes, made from stiff cotton, nearly-raw denim and more technical ones, like the “nyloned” silk (to obtain a waterproof effect). High waist pants and shorts, blousy-oversized knits, boxy parkas, tailored suits for this relaxing and sporty-casual-less formal man. Need a cherry on the top? Laburnum-framed sunglasses, made in collaboration with Finlay & Co (iconic British eyewear company) and Louboutin high tops.
