sasha.kanevski collections are defined by
strong, sharp tailoring fused with smart functionality – anatomical cuts,
transformable details and high-tech materials are at the core of the brand’s
bold urbanistic designs drawn from the cultural phenomena of the modern society.
His last collection, the F/W 2013/2014
shown here, is full of inspirations (mostly seen on patterns) from the Eastern
European homes and their elements, like wooden floorboards and omnipresent carpets.
Materials he used are rubberized linen,
cotton, shiny silks, pvc and plastic. The brogue boots were created in
collaboration with a designer Konstantin Kofta.
Sasha also made a capsule collection for an Ukranian streetwear brand Syndicate, consisted of of shirts, sweatshirts and trousers from high-quality cotton and 4 types of prints. He took out on a street images of his F/W 2013/2014 collection where annoying but dear patterns of carpets and parquets are transformed into fractals, and this fractals compose urban camouflage.
