90´s minimalism is somehow back (or just a Déjà
vu thing? We saw this influence on Helmut Lang´s collection too, remember?).
Here we can add also a logo mania, Wang´s sportswear-inspired and the street
attitude. Those are the main ingredients of Alexander Wang´s woman for the next
summer.
Logo pieces like jumpers, coat and slip
dresses, are made with the laser cut-outs of skinny leather strips and then
sewn together vertically: These are the most memorable pieces of this
collection. In the other hand we have Wang´s (clearly become) basics, such crop
tops, loose shorts and over-seen boxy cut-s. All is (a little) chilled with opera gloves
and nice, glossy (with a platform) shoes.
The color palette is neutral – black, white
and grey with small pops of light lilac and (trench-y) beige.
