The spring edition of the Parisian fashion house’s iconic ‘Muse Two’ bag is the latest piece to arrive in Creative Director Stefano Pilati’s annual ‘Edition New Vintage’ collection for Yves Saint Laurent, an environmentally-conscious capsule line of ready-to-wear and accessories as part of their ongoing support of UN Women, The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality, and the Empowerment of Women.
In a limited edition of 60 unique pieces, the intricate ‘Muse Two Artisanal Recycled’ features the artisanal handiwork of the women of Burkina Faso’s Gafreh Association, supported by the non-profit organisation ‘Les Filles du Facteur’ which aims to sustain and promote the cultural and artistic values for women and children who face difficulty in the world.
The limited edition ‘Muse Two Artisanal Recycled’ will be available online at YSL in the UK and US from Spring 2011 and selected Yves Saint Laurent flagship boutiques worldwide.
