For a duo so attuned to all things architectural, the past few seasons have found designers Thuy Pham and Miko Aoki exploring a notably ladylike perspective. But spring’s Wallis Simpson muse has now made way for Amelia Earhart and other swaggering women of the Thirties. The result is wonderful suiting — jackets trimmed with a fur stole, jodhpurs, sensible skirts — and Art Deco embroidery on dresses and knits that made the no-nonsense coats and doctor bags pop. As they quipped in their show notes, these are clothes for the wildcats Clark Gable chased across Asia. Bon voyage!
