Threesafour RTW Fall 2010 / NYCFW Day-07

From the smoke-filled room to the haunting, New Age arrangement of Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” Gabriel Asfour, Angela Donhauser and Adi Gil’s latest presentation was mystical from the start. Inspired by alchemy, they divided their lineup into looks representing the seven planetary metals. A series of sci-fi pieces with black, bronze and pewter Medusa-like coils were certainly more sculpture than clothes, but made up in creativity what they lacked in wearability. Among the real — though still risky — offerings were tights with cutouts and leather panels, a supercool leather jacket with sinuous seams and embroidered and appliquéd separates.
