The signature prints by designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos were still in evidence, but the duo — inspired by Modernist architecture and Seventies interiors — took them in a tougher, more graphic direction. A single jersey dress was made up of hexagonal patches of florals, a blurred black-and-white abstract print and blocks of fluorescent orange — and it worked. The looks became trickier, however, when the duo crafted dresses from sections of silver and orange leather, stiff gray tweed and red silk. The most appealing pieces were those that showed off the designers’ prints to full effect, such as a blurred gray paisley design that faded into a maroon floral print for a chiffon dress.
