Following the success of the last Jil Sander and Uniqlo collaboration, the new collection is due to launch this Thursday in-stores
We're not sure whether it was the in-store countdown instigated by Uniqlo or the fact that there were hordes of us who were eager to snap up Jil Sander's take on practical and modern tailoring but last season's Uniqlo +J collection proved to be a blinding success. Therefore, the countdown begins again as Uniqlo gears up to launch the new spring/summer 2010 +J collection this Thursday and it's a decidely lighter and more carefree affair. Sander has opted for iconic simplicity with a collection that endorses functional elegance, dynamic textiles and distinctive shapes. It blends a practical sensibility towards fabrics as well as a lighter approach towards colours. Men can expect touches of modern tailoring with hidden detailing. Pastel hues and chalked out acids give way to lightness in the womenswear collection. We're sure to be queuing up for Uniqlo and Jil Sander's injection of freshness come Thursday.
New collection launches Thursday 7 January 2010 at the following London stores:
311 Oxford Street, 170 Oxford Street, Westfield London, 54-58 Kensington High Street and online at www.uniqlo.com
