As declared by the voiceover to the jazzy soundtrack: “Everybody looked around and bebop happened.” Much like the musical genre, Watanabe remixed classics to form new compositions in tailored clothing.
A jacket sprouted flashes of vivid red paneling, while another boasted motorcycle jacket sleeves with articulated elbows – courtesy of the designer’s collaboration with American leather specialist Vanson.
The trilby hats topping each look marked a new hook-up with Borsalino. Only the drop-crotch and ankle-cropped pants missed a beat in an otherwise groovy lineup for fall.
