While flicking through the blog on photographer Peter Ashworth's site recently, I came across his amazing archive of images documenting the career of master milliner Stephen Jones. Friends since their student days in the late 1970s, (Ashworth at the London College of of Printing, Jones studying Fashion at St. Martins & freelancing as a make-up artist and stylist), they've gone on to collaborate on lookbooks, ad campaigns, exhibitions and editorials celebrating Jones' spectacularly theatrical headpieces. Some of the most memorable images are the sequence of portraits of Jones himself - particularly the early shots from the Blitz Club, with the youthful milliner strutting his stuff in a spookily Prada AW2009-style studded black look!
