Black & White

There's something really exciting about seeing new shops launching, especially if the brand has never had its own store before: seeing how the designers use the label's vision to inspire the space can be incredible (or incredibly bad…).

In the case of Neil Barrett's breathtaking Tokyo Store, architect Zaha Hadid's provided the perfect reflection of the designer's aesthetic, with severe shapes, unexpected cuts and sleek surfaces. After a couple of years where so many shops gone on a chandelier & retro wallpaper frenzy, it's amazing to see someone doing something so dynamic and clean.
