The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, places us in the world of the iconic First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, played by Natalie Portman, during the days immediately following her husband´s, the President John F. Kennedy, played by John Carroll Lynch, assassination. It is a sort of a psychological portrait of the First Lady who fights through grief and trauma to regain her faith, console her children and define her husband’s historic legacy.
