SACAI´S FIRST LINE OF HANDBAGS

Japanese label Sacai launched a line of handbags for the first time since its creation in 1999. The line that was designed with the assistance of former Marc by Marc Jacobs and current Hillier Bartley accessories designer Katie Hillier and presented during the S/S 2017 collection in Paris last September, consist of six models that revisit the so-called "basics" in smooth and embossed leather, mixed with crocodile, suede and fringes.

"My goal was to create a bag collection that distilled the spirit of Sacai and that I’d be excited to wear myself. For a woman, a bag is such an important part of her identity, so I wanted to create a collection that is an authentic expression of luxury but that brings something new to what is already a very busy category – a modern, playful version of true luxury," said Chitose Abe, Sacai´s founder and creative director.

All six models can be seen in this video directed by Craig McDean, styled by Karl Templer and featuring Lexi Bolling, Jess Picton Warlow, Binx Walton, Kiki Williams and Alice Metza.

The whole line will drop worldwide at the end of January 2017, but it´s already available in Selfridges
