THE DAY OF MY DEATH

The book is a third part of the whole SS2017 project made by the Russian menswear designer Gosha Rubchinskiy that also involved the collection presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence and the 17-minute short film. This project was actually his response to having been invited to present the collection in Florence and is dedicated to the Italian filmmaker and artist Pierpaolo Pasolini.

"I wanted to do something special. A collection, a short film and a book. Three ways to explain my message. The book and film have the same title. Both are dedicated to and inspired by P. P. Pasolini. I wanted to pay attention to this artist now. Some of his ideas and poetry suit the moment very well…The questions I am asking are; What is Europe now? Are countries together or separated? What is global and what is unique?" – said Gosha about the project.

The book itself it’s not a novelty in his artistic-design sphere, as a matter of fact is his third publication following his sold-out Kids from 2014 and youth Hotel 2015 and again in collaboration with the publisher IDEA books. This collector-jewel was made in total just 1,000 copies, achieving that way also the limited-edition effect and is available at dover Street Market London, COMME des GARÇONS market (New York, London, Ginza and Tokyo) and online at ideanow or scmoscow. Literally grab it before is gone!
