The latest work of Quebecois wunderkind, filmmaker
Xavier Dolan that premiered in competition in Cannes, is dividing critics, on
one side are those who praise him (again), while the others see the movie as his "faux pas" or not very
good. Based on Jean-Luc Lagarce’s play, it describes the story of a writer who
returns after a 12-year absence to announce his impending death to his family.
The film that features some of the French "crème
de la crème" movie stars, including Vincent Cassel, Nathalie Baye, Oscar winner
Marion Colliard, Gaspard Ulliel and Léa Seydoux, will be released in theatres
from September 21.
