Even though the official images of this pre-fall 2016 collection went public like a month ago, Balenciaga presented it to the fashion industry in Paris during the time of Haute Couture fashion week, that transition time with Wang´s departure and Gvasalia´s arrival. Although the French fashion house declared few times that the collection is the result of the internal creative team, well, now official images make some doubts on that. There are some really Gvasalia´s/Vetements-signature pieces, like fluid floral dresses or long-logo stoles or oversized sweatshirts, to let us think that Demna has a proper involvement in this collection. Yes, a clever, sophisticated and modern at the same time, incorporating street influences, but always in the frame of current elegance.
