Consuelo Castiglioni served a true Marni woman, maybe a bit severe or properly to say more “down-to-earth” compared to other collections, but still very rich, extravagant and eccentric. Androgynous silhouettes as Marni´s trademark are very present here, composed by really feminine pieces, like ruffled silk georgette dress and by those with a true masculine allure, like oversize corduroy pants and maxi-coats. Others very Marni things are layering, like a dress worn over a collarless shirts and brand´s unique print, this time a combination of geometric floral ones defined by contrasting colours or simple asymmetrical lines. As having fur in the family-business heritage, Consuelo use it along leather as a luxury touch to the collection, while the accessories, like block-heel pumps with ribbons around the ankle, maxi earrings, fur stoles and shoppers, gave that supper-accent to each look.
