Alancha is a two-floor eatery place, where you can find a different menu for each floor and an impressive bar curated by mixologist Göksel Gülec – known for his creating and experimenting cocktails with different techniques, such as distillation and brewing.
It was opened in 2013 by a former professional windsurfer, now talented, appreciated and one of Turkey´s most acclaimed chef´s Kemal Demirasal, with the intention to transform the Anatolian cuisine into a extraordinary and modern experience in Instanbul. Located in Maçka Armani Residence, the restaurant uses always fresh ingredients from Demirasal´s own farm and features dishes, such as “yahni”, an onion stew brought form Persia to Anatolia by Alexander the Great and the galantine salad with lamb brain cream, a great connection to Istanbul's street food traditions. The interior was designed by the Alaçati-based firm Cacti Architecture. They´ve used carefully selected leathers and wood, on the concrete-wall they´ve put green plans to make it „alive”, while the low-pending lamps, with the intent to reduce the high-ceiling effect, overall help to create an intimate and warm atmosphere.
