MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA CRYSTALACTITE COLLECTION

Do you remember the great jewelry pieces (here, here, here and here) featured in the F/W 2013/2014 Maison Martin Margiela Artisanal collection made in collaboration with Swarowski? The statement of the Austrian producer of luxury cut lead glass ('crystal') about the new technology they used to make these pieces: "What makes the Maison Martin Margiela Crystalactite for Swarovski totally unique is the fact that it is made using the pioneering Crystal Fusion technique, by which crystal is merged with matt white resin before it is cut, making gluing unnecessary. This is unprecedented, and the result is startlingly futuristic—an avant-garde and asymmetric beauty, inspired by the shape and structure of stalactites."
Pieces to wish for.
