There are collections that are more wearable,
those more show-stopper-less wearable and those who harmoniously unite both. London Fashion Week F/W 2014/2015 got less of first ones, in majority of
seconds and few rare exceptions of third ones. One of those was definitely the collection of
Charlie May. In the 2010 UWE graduated designer presented her minimal,
sporty-chic collection, this time with a great feeling for a commercial appeal
and the wearable side of garments. A great mixture of fabrics such as cotton, silk,
wool and leather in calm color tones (black, white and navy blue) to compose
sleek, still elegant but also very comfortable looks. Especially in love with biker leather pants,
the liquid-like effect of the mesh fabric on tops, dress, skirt and sweatshirt,
simply adore (and would Love to own) all prolonged-but still fit softy knitwear.
A big yes also for all accessories: calfskin clutch, nice caps made in
collaboration with Gigi Burris and white leather platform sneakers. Pieces that
every modern and minimalistic-conscious girl would Love to wear.
