After Jil left her namesake brand for the
third time, her design team made and delivered us the F/W 2014/2015 collection
made by luxurious materials, youthful tailoring and cozy effects. Almost head
to toe monochromatic looks in grays, deep purple, darker teal and softened greens.
The main role got the shapes; to update, no it´s precisely to say upgrade classic
menswear pieces like tailored jackets and coats (here in a boxy version), parka
and trench coat. To add even more modernity there were glossy shearlings,
wet-look anoraks and rubber-effect leather jackets. Not a revolution collection
(will come with a new creative director?), but a very solid one. Still very Jil
Sander.
