Did anyone notice any similarity in the
aesthetic between this, Lanvin F/W 2014/2015 collection and all menswear
collection of Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimani? Both inspired by revival of rebellion
musical styles from the 80`s. Actually Hedi started first with Saint Laurent and
now it was a turn of Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. I am not
telling that someone copied another one, because everything we saw was
unmistakably Lanvin, with all well-known elements; from sophisticated sense of
color and proportion to impeccable tailoring and super-couture fabrics.
The show started with various below the
knee coats, to continue with a series of blousons (in patchwork leather,
knitwear and glossy fur), side-striped pants, mesh t-shirts and neon sneakers
giving the futuristic/athletic alternation. A digital world with the infusion
of the eighties.
