Robert Geller for S/S 2014 was inspired by
the spirit of the Russia in the Eighties, when new wave and punk rock were
influential, a time of the revolution and the express-yourself. Muddy-earth colors, lots of layering and leather
vests to accentuate the romanticism of the collection, while the hats shape,
reminded an element of the Eastern Orthodox monasticism. There were also few,
so-Geller-ish elements, like slouchy shorts and gym pieces, especially the ones
in neoprene.
I would describe Geller`s aesthetic, something
like: when the past meets the future to create a perfect and symbiotic nowadays.
