The new collection by Cédric Charlier,
showed yesterday at the Palais des Beaux-Arts is the first one to open (I hope
so) a big and long wagon of great collections from this womenswear S/S 2014 during
Paris fashion week. The title of this post, sort of my collection´s review, is
due that Cedric tried to make a connection, to work between the collection´s
inspiration in martial arts and seduction. Well, if the new seduction is to
almost to cover all up, then he did this job nicely; but I guess the seductive
part was in the transparency of the sheer organza used on dresses and the more
feminine vibe with the red sequined dress, t-shirt and green skirt at the end.
All other was all composed by, yet before, mentioned martial arts uniform-inspired
garments, such as side tied jackets, oversize coats combined with samurai pants
or knee-length skirts with a side cut. Some stripes and orange-paint-look
details on T-shirts to break a monotony palette of black, blue and white.
