Tamara Mellon´s name is well known as she co-founded with Mr.Choo Jimmy Choo Ltd. 17 years ago. It was really a matter of time when she will built her own brand after leaving the super luxurious brand in 2011 (that time the brand was estimated in something like 80 million Euro).
Tamara Mellon, the accessible lifestyle luxury brand, will be launched in the mid of November. The brand will include ready-to-wear to shoes and bags. The style of the brand will reflect a modern, clean British business woman, but still able to show her sensual side. The main, signature color will be red, Tamara´s favorite one and the one that identifies her most. There will be also some white, black and leopard prints. Key look pieces will include leopard coats, structured jackets, jumpsuits, cigarette pants and trench coats.
The intent for her is to revolutionize the system of "Buy now, wear now", with monthly shipments of the season garments. So there will not be like heavy coats or fur coats during summer, but from fall on or no more lighter, spring clothes at the end of winter, but only during spring time.
The collection was already presented in the beginning of July at Pace Gallery in New York, but will be launched and available worldwide online on tamaramellon.com from the mid of November.
There are plans for 2014 to expand in own shops in London and New York.
